Andhra Pradesh Education Board executes and operates all major functions regarding the Examination Conduction for secondary and intermediate institutions. This includes the evaluation and certification of the students in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Headquartered in Gollapudi, AP Board also focuses its resources on developing a better and effective curriculum and its enactment on the schools that fall under its control. It is created to address- affiliation, accreditation, recognition and certification demands of the schools, teachers, and students for their excelling performance in the scholastic field. Conduction of Examination, Evaluation & Certification The examination administration comprises and works on all the requirements that are needed for the conduction of successful assessments. The examination duties and office work of Andhra Pradesh board include:

• Set the question papers in accordance with 1,400 different subjects and the respective class curricula and syllabi
• Regulate and oversee impartial conduction of tests through the affiliated institutions
• Assessment of all answer books from different classes for making SSC board results
• Evaluation and announcement of AP board results
• Rechecking of answer books after 10th result and the 12th result Diploma Result, have been published
• Organize meetings for the members of the Examination Committee; for training and making them aware of the instructions that are to be followed
• Allotment of Diplomas and SSC to the meritorious and worthy studentsCurriculum Development & Implementation Andhra Pradesh education board oversees the process of making a comprehensive and constructive curriculum is imperative for all institutions and schools. It controls the learning path and progress of the students and gives them their other and 10th class results. All obligations for the AP education board Curriculum Development & Implementation include:
• Execution and evaluation of the curriculum at Diploma level
• Authorization of new syllabus and courses in accordance with employment scope available for students inter IRDT
• Revising the current courses and syllabus for 10th/ 12th that are being practiced in Board affiliated institutions
• Counsel and guide the affiliated institutions regarding issues concerning their curriculum and course
• Scout for new opportunities for creating expanded courses based on recent trends of the industry and their necessity Affiliation / Accreditation / Recognition & Certification AP Board of Education is responsible for providing affiliation as well as authorization to schools and institutions. The intermediate board also has the duty to provide proper and accurate certificates to the students from different classes in secondary school. Affiliation:
• Scrutiny of the institution that is applying for affiliation
• Providing affiliation to fresh and worthy institutes
• All 3-year courses for Diploma are affiliated based upon the guidelines of AICTE
• All 1-year and 2-year Diploma courses are affiliated by the Andhra Pradesh Board of Education (excluding Pharmacy Course)
• The 2-year Pharmacy courses will only be affiliated by Andhra Pradesh board after getting it approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and AICTE Accreditation:
• To keep a check on the functioning of the affiliated institutions and their intermediate education practices
• To inspect the scholastic activities like attendance of students, awards for scoring good marks and maintaining discipline for the making of annual results
• To supervise teaching standards, administration office work and internal evaluation of the particular institution. And advice whether it needs changes or improvement Certification:
• Preparing and distributing the certificates, diplomas and intermediate results across the affiliated institutes for AP board 10th result and 12th class results
• Publishing a copy of diplomas and SSC result in cases of the original print being misplaced or damaged
